    Internal Body Aerodynamics

And the text that goes with the image: From a good article over at Speed News: https://nasaspeed.news/tech/aero/air-dams-splitters-spoilers-and-wings-downforce-increases-grip-grip-decreases-lap-times-and-isnt-that-the-whole-point/

    L88 distance kit

...the regulating body,CAMS here in OZ, about adding some parts to, the parts eligibility sheet of the c3, like FIA road racing light kit, front spoiler.... They are not against it, as long that I can show them ome part numbers and that they where sold by GM dealers. So, would you have in your...

    L88 distance kit

I don`t know if the front spoiler and wiper door cover were GM pieces, I had two covers but only one box, sadly I got screwed out of them but I believe there is a left and a right, my suggestion would be to get an old P&A 30 B thats the Corvette parts book they used at Chevy before computers...

    Internal Body Aerodynamics

...should be consistent throughout a speed range. That is to say - no pitching moments as you accelerate/slow down. Your Pace Car style front spoiler should offer some help in the corners you mention. Additional drag through "Active Aero" would also play well for braking - but not all racing...

    Internal Body Aerodynamics

In the old days, when the underbody was a mess on production cars, the rule was a low front spoiler. They’ve definitely done some work.

    C3/4/5 frankenstein frame

Not much to update... but Ill hopefully be putting some more time into the vette soon. Im starting to focus more on the bodywork so I can get wheels ordered. I think being able to see it roll around on its own is more motivating to me than being able to start it. Plus it is a pain to push it...

    Internal Body Aerodynamics

Good topic. I'll enjoy the discussion. Just my perspective/reasoning here. I like the look/function of the upper fender louvers, but I've put a self-imposed restriction on myself for most body mods (I like the stock/sleeper look), so I haven't gone to the vented fender option. What I have done...

    Internal Body Aerodynamics

That is what I'd like to see. It is "easy" to add panels to the underside - when in the design stage, we have to (get to) make up the difference on a classic, yet dated vehicle. But, there are some significant gains to be made! My previous was a long post - but should have enough detail that...

    improving underhood ventilation

I went through this in FL, here are a few ideas: - vented my l88 hood (in the v shaped depression). - opened up side vents behind front tire. Not very noticeable appearance wise. - return type fuel regulator. It fixed the vapor lock. - removed front headlights. Left the holes open. -...

    L88 distance kit

...members. Thierry, I can tell you that the L88 Flares and L88 FIA Road Racing Light Kits did have part numbers. The Wiper Cover and Front Spoiler were manufacture by Greenwood Racing. Burt and John Greenwood sold and used these two items on the cars they built and raced. I'm 72 years...

    Plastic Fantastic 2

I looked at the PB pictures an I can sum up 50 pictures. I cut, I ground, I hacked fiberglass, I glued and we pick up at the gluing. I used 3m 8115 to glue the fenders on - the CIC flares, I love them but hate them because they could be so much better... anyway, there's the intro and here we...

C3 front end lift (aero) question.

I've spent much time thinking and seeing other solutions to this issue - the next C3 I build I'm going to try a vent above the radiator then use electric fans to pull enough air through to cool the car. With a decent spoiler to keep the air out of the underside (belly pan plus opening the side...

C3 front end lift (aero) question.

I may have posted here long ago, but with the rad fins aimed toward the crank pulley and electric fans in the same plane....there is basically no air under the main part of the hood....and my yarn proved me correct, now what happens on the side scoops on MY car, I dunno, never placed any...

    Carbon Fiber body parts

Congratulations! Learning heaps I imagine. I have 78 rockers and Pace Car front spoiler if you need them. PM here. Cheers - Jim

Yes, learning a lot. Already know a few things I'd do differently next time.

    My '76 restoration (long post)

...booster shot. By the way, do you know a good painter around MTL? I'm about to start asking for estimates, because you know, there's limit to what I can do in that small space. While I'm confident the flares will make it, I will have to watch closely how the front spoiler like the ramp...

    1969 427 restoration from Sweden

Keeps the nose down, too. My '77 had a bit of a habit of getting light in front at speed until I put a new chin spoiler on.

    73-79 Indy ft spoiler

Don't know if this meets your requirement - I have a 78 Pace Car 3 piece (Urethane?) Front spoiler. BUT - you'd have to wait until I get back to the States - say mid-May 2014. Cheers - Jim

    1969 427 restoration from Sweden

Hi there! By air dam, you mean the lower front spoiler in black plastic seen on the photo of my car below? That piece of black plastic is what I think is the "air dam" or in my words, "Spoiler"
