    Front spoiler aero question

...are still around 130* I have a BB/LT-1 hood with the vents cut out to relieve some of the pressure created under the hood, so that may help with the extra air being pushed up by the bigger spoiler. Any other opinions on keeping air out from under the nose or under the car with a front spoiler?

    82 front spoiler fit

I've been thinking about this since I fitted the damn spoiler. As I said above, it fits pretty well except for where it meets the wheel arches. It would be easy to graft the spoiler on permanently at those points but then I couldn't remove the spoiler if I damaged it or something, without...

    My 1,500.00 1990 project

I regret the color the vette came out about 2 years ago, almost....but forest green not SO awful evil a choice, lotsa times I see some snappy COPPER color on some car, or a evil yellow, not a fan of orange though.....had burgundy for over 20 years, time to change THAT habit.... BEST damn...

    Front spoiler aero question

Here is my Pace Car front spoiler witha splitter added. I'm thinking of adding a rubber lip to the bottom of the splitter to limit even more air from going under the car, something like the 80-82s have under their front spoiler. I would put it back toward the rear of the splitter, barely above...

F1 teams to start own series in 2010

    $2500 1977 Rebuild thread!

When I put the new engine in the '84 I had to paint it Chevy orange. I could just never get used to a corporate blue (or black) engine in a Corvette. Keep us posted on your progress!

    front spoilers....

...typical streets and roads, speed bumps parking crap, etc..... anyone have a measurement off their car as to location for a SUCCESSFUL front spoiler that don't drag ground in street driving??? how much forward say off the tire tread, and how high off the ground.... I want to do something...

    Opinions on NASCAR changes?

I tried to like F1 and Indycars....they do nothing for me. The Australian cars don't look like anything I see on the streets in this country. That idiot plan to rebadge the Hold-On Molaro or whatever they call it into a GTO was a dismal failure. The prototype sports cars look like something from...

Hot in Cab, Dang Hot, Help

Thus far, i got all the timing issues and vacuum leaks fixed (dang head light crap :crap:). AND, being that in the past, the engine always ran cool, 190 no matter what, never thought much about airflow across the engine bay. Having a chin spoiler I assumed that it was good enough, (The factory...

    Switch to SMC

...not overpriced. They have several epoxy and polyester resins, see which one they recommend for SMC I am repairing my pace car style front spoiler and bought a QT Bondo resin from the local store. That stuff is junk compared with the resin from UScomposite, it's way too thick and does not...

Front spoiler broke.... Almost $hit my pants today

I have a '89 F body aluminum plastic thing from a local outlet for 160 bux, it's a stock replacement for the T/A, etc....single row, and backed up with Dual Spals and ditched the stock shroud....I suspect a even swap for weight... and it cools good even in hot Florida street traffic...with a/c...

    Another front spoiler question

Before I get to driving this thing, I need to replace the stock spoiler that bolts to the valance as the original is mashed all to hell. Can someone tell me the differences between the front of a 79 and the front of an 82 please? 82 spoiler halves are nearly $50 each whereas the 79 complete is...

Got the '69 back running again.

...the side of the car, and hopefully encouraging (due to a slight pressure reduction in the pre-radiator area) the air to come from the front spoiler area instead. Hopefully this would reduce undercar flow and front end lift. Admittedly I was busy today trying not to run off the track, but the...

    Areo ?

Lower it -- Yes! Years back, I put the PACE CAR urethane 3 piece unit on my 78- Significant difference in "front end float" at "high q" (thats sorta like speed). And the added bonus it survived all the curbs and rumble strips. May take a bit of alteration -- I don't know. I did that before...

Pace Car front spoiler mod by Bee Jay

You need to quit using your chin spoiler as a curb feeler! The plywood is rather unobtrusive and seems to be effective - I say well done! Looks like it is time for some new tires.... those front skins look thin.

high rise - modding the stock hood

Well, with the high spoiler on the rear bumper, the flares, the Indy spoiler, the aftermarket front bumper and the sidepipes my L88 hood is not the most obvious speed sticker on the '79 :lol:
