...looks nice. The wing does appear low - as you've commented. But it would be coupled with the rear oversized Gurney-style "flap," and yes a diffuser would - REALLY benefit here too. So, there is some flow change and appears to be in the correct direction for increasing Downforce. Rear...

Rear Diffuser too! I like the approach. What materials will you use - fiberglass sheet with a foam core - or sheet aluminum? Cheers - Jim

Looking for infos on rear spoiler design

...no mistake that it is purely aesthetics. If we're truly worried about downforce though, I think our cars are better served with a rear diffuser. But all that depends on cleaning up the aero on the front and underside of the car. The problem is the c3 design, as cool as it looks, is...

    Rear Diffuser Project

...Fastening? Bolt-in, or glass? One last question - how will you keep any flow from getting between the body cavity/fuel tank and the diffuser? It would be really cool - after install to do a tuft test - yarn and tape and get some pics at speed. Maybe shoot one before install of the rear...

Viper ACR is a street car running big wings, so I found a Motor Trend article: First Drive: 2009 Dodge Viper ACR Jurassic Lark: With 8.4 liters and overhead valves up front, the Viper ACR seems to be an old-school supercar. Until you drive it. Most of the time, effort, and development dollars...

    Aero improvement, or roadhugging weight?

I'm just using aluminum, as it's quick and simple to cut and weld if necessary. I need to get some more large sheets of aluminum to do the front undertray, but in the meantime I used some smaller remnants and attached them just forward of the footwells to reduce the amount of air exiting the...

...the middle, and the edges will be bolted to some tabs Ill have to make on the body. In regards to keeping air out from between the body and diffuser, I was planning on just making some kind of separate panel to close it off. That piece is still in the planning stage though. Im thinking that...

...good for a c3.. i believe you directly that it will improve airflow but for design reasons i dont think its an option.. Maybe my custom diffuser will improve airflow as well and that example you show.. i know that car very well.. that is the anvil Mustang, made by steve strope.. that car...

Gene, I mean a diffuser, just like the definition says in a dictionary.

    More aero stuff

A diffuser is an expanding volume ductwork to convert the high velocity/low pressure air from the grill/inlet area into low velocity/high pressure air prior to the radiator.
