    It might be a bit late lol. But I am having a manual valve body put into my Turbo 400 while in for a good rebuild. Eventually this will go behind my 468 BB in my 73 with a 3000 Stahl TQ back to 3.73 gears. :)

    The only thing I can think of that might cause such a problem is maybe the trans is out of alignment with the engine. Check your alignment pins to be sure there is no binding and things line up correctly.

    Have the case cut for a bolt on bell bellhousing. Much Stronger. :) I have done so with a Turbo 350 and 400 so you should be able to do it with your trans I would think.
