My engine has been sitting around for a while. Should I flush the water cooling channels? If so does someone have a procedure or is it just sticking a garden hose in it? Any need for additives?

Yesterday I wanted to install my water pump. While rotating it it made a horrible rattling noise. I tried to flush it but it is still there. So it is time for a new one. Is there a "useful" upgrade possible? HD, aluminium, reverse flow etc? I'm not switching to electric.

Guy´s I have a new core support and seals for my 72, only thing I did not order/get are the plastic fasteners to attach the seals to the core. These fasteners are all out of stock at the moment (Paragon, Ecklers, Willcox) and are expected earliest in December. Does anyone have a good alternative?

To the Dutch speaking crowed in this forum. dielectric grease is that "Zuurvrije" Vaseline or "Non acidic" Vaseline? Pardon my Dutch!

Guy's, I'm looking at some old pics, to prepare my engine build up. I realized something! I have a HEI converted dizzy, and an additional COIL! Other then that the coil on the dizzy could be broken, is there another reason for this? Could I buy just any HEI distributor cap to replace it, or...

Hahaha, TT you have been screwed!! I had bare block shipped from the USA to NL for 50USD, plus documents duty and tax it was 180€. It was with http://www.rinkens.com/ pop them (Joanne) an email. I Had to wait for 6 weeks and pick it up myself in rotterdam. There is always a cheaper way, 350...
