I know some of you don't go to the "other" forum much anymore, so I thought I would also post this here.
Before I get into the how-to part of this thread, I want to say that my vacuum system worked perfectly; I didn't do this because there was something wrong with it. In 2013, I did the...
Never knew anyone was making such a thing, can't help but wonder why no one is doing this for vettes yet?!?!
Is it because in stock form the half shaft is a stressed unit?
For those of you that don't frequent the "other" forum, I thought I would also share this here. I have made my own LED headlight and tail light halos, and I have decided to do this "how-to" thread to share with you all.
I made the headlight halos last year, and put them through a long-term test...
My car is lowered, and I want to improve the geometry. I want to lower my rear strut mounting point at the diff. It looks like I can either fab a spacer to go between the diff and bracket to lower it (easiest) or modify the bracket itself to lower the mounting point. Is one way better/worse than...
First, let me give some further info. I have a healthy 406 in my vette, making 500+ HP.
My curent rear suspension:
-100% poly bushings
-VBP trailing arms
-VBP adjustable struts
-Carrera 3 way adjustable shocks (set at 2)
-VBP 360# spring
-VBP 3/4" sway bar
-VBP rear diff locator discs
-Spicer...
Funny you should say that because when I do the 5 spd change, I am probably going to go with a hydraulic clutch, but I want to weld the bracket on just in case I for some reason don't.......I just want to cover all my bases.
I currently have an automatic vette, but a 5 spd is in the future. I bought the bracket that is welded on the frame, and I need to know the exact location it is in so I can weld it on. I should have figured this out before I removed my old motor, but I didn't, and now I want to weld it on while...
I am building a new 406 since my old one decided to eat a few cam lobes earlier in the spring, and I am considering using the Comp roller fuel pump pushrod because I am now going with a roller cam; has anyone used this and has any feedback? I know it's not needed and costs 10 times more than a...
