Hey everyone...I'm new here. Just purchased a 2009 C6 with the Z51 package, in Cyber Gray. I'm new to Corvettes, but not to mods. I used to have a 2003 Mach1 with alot of mods, both cosmetic and performance.

I like to start with cosmetic so I recently added some flat black Z06 Spyder style wheels, tinted the headlights, tail lights, and side markers....and replaced the wing with an LED lit Z06 style wing. Nothing else yet, but I have some plans for exhaust and suspension. Here is a pic....

Welcome to the motley crew.....

Lots of old hotrodders here, and your car looks GREAT!!!!

love the wheels and lights, but I wonder what the .gov and so will think of that blackout look, never seen that before....

:bounce::clap:

.gov? What's that? Thanks for the nice words though...it's appreciated. In the end, I love cars...be it old hot rods, new modern muscle, and even some foreign stuff! That's right I said it! :). If it's fun to drive, I like it....I usually stick to American muscle, out of preference.

Btw, Im here in ft Lauderdale, Florida, in case there are any Vette enthusiasts down here!

Yeh, good old FLORIDA I"m in Jax/Orange Park 'burbs'....so you about 5 hours south....about the last state in the nation that manages to give the motorists some freedom over their rides...

so you are cool, but in say Maryland where I lived 53 years, it would be picked on immediately ....which is why I commented....

years ago that anal state even made the window tint be taken off a car I bought my daughter for college....went ape shit over it....so out came the razor blades, oh well, she was NOT happy....

:rofl:

Thanks guys...and mrvette, you're right...it's not so bad here. Haven't had any problem so far. Bit just in case, the headlights are tint film so I can always removable if need be.

INteresting, being a compound curve , did you put the tint film on, or is it tint film at all?? Some time ago wife and I tried tint on a glass roof atrium we have in back, to knock back the summer sun, and it was the most evil looking stuff after a year, and even more evil to remove....now we use that white corrugated PAL Roofing on top just layed there to keep sun out...

:surrender:

It is actually a tint film. I have a guy that does vinyl striping and he used some kind of stretchy tinted vinyl. Stretched a large piece over the light, over lapping to the panels around the light. Then heated it up, stretched it down to the lights edges and cut it in place. Really came out smooth. Guy does a great job. The rest of the lights (tails and side markers) are painted and then I wet sanded and hand polished them.

Here are a couple more pics:

I know what you mean. It's not so strict here as long as your driving respectably (as tough as that is! :) ).
