If you need one, It's probably valuable. If it's laying on the shelf taking up space, probably not. IS it still available from GM or any aftermarket suppliers? That will maybe be the real answer

Yes, that's a valuable piece. Diverter valves as new as 1985 have been discontinued, and these cars cannot pass many States' emissions tests without the valve working properly. I'm seeing people paying up to $500 for NOS diverters right now.
