The Indian Motorcycle Returns in All Its Glory

My Father, born in '05, rode an Indian for a while, I have to ASSume him and Mom had fun in their dating times......

been a while....

My dad had a '37 with the inline 4 cylinder when he was young. He sold it (damn!) in the early 50's when he went into the army. I wish he would have kept it, but I probably wouldn't have been able to afford the parts to restore it anyway.

There were rumors of this bike returning in the mid 90's, there were also a few tools built for it at that time. Its good to see it finally returned, it seems the company got all its legal concerns worked out. :)

I believe this is another group that finally made it work. I worked for one of the three companies that was trying to revive the Indian back in 93-95', but that relationship fell apart shortly after we produced these two prototypes.

I was involved with the driveline design, but that company is now out of business. They were strong running right out of the box, with the exception of the typical prototype issues. Too bad the companies couldn't see eye to eye back then on the way forward.

The bikes were pretty trick for their time. Individual coils mounted on the spark plugs, EFI, 3 valve cylinder heads.
