Hello New member here.I have a 82 x crossfire,converted to carb(holley 750-intake torquer 2 ,bracket master 2 cam part number 00016,aftermarket one piece pushrods,fair bank hydro. switch running the lock up on the 700r4.All computer and smog based eq. removed, still have the 272 stock rearend gear at the moment. Same go's for the heads(stock 82). I was wanting to know if vortec iron heads from a 96 impala be a up grade to the heads i have now?Also how do these heads work with true tuned long runner hooker primarys side pipe set up that go's in to a chammber pipe?Or would i be better off running differant heads?
