turboed and blown engines longevity = nil?

Mine should have lasted longer,But it broke due to a distributor comming appart.A high comp motor would have went too.I took a chance to get through a weekend and it bit me.(I threw in a junk dist, just to get through a weekend.)If the engine is built rite and not over boosted.(Beyond the strenght of it's internals)It should last as long if not longer than a high compression street engine.Most fail due to lean out or just being pushed too far.
