I have a ZZ4 in my 80 and because I do track days I bought a Canton roadrace pan. Original ZZ4 pan did not leak from new.
Swap out to the Canton one piece pan to match the ZZ4 block and it had a slow leak from the front of the pan lip to the plastic ZZ4 timing cover. After about 3 months I pulled the pan and used a new gasket and this time put RTV on the front and rear parts of the one piece gasket and I still have the same leak. The balancer seal is not leaking as I dryed everything off and it starts from the pan to timing cover area.
Any ideas before I pull the pan yet again?
