Sheet/rolls of cork large enough to make pan/valve cover gaskets for a large straight 6? Looks like I have to make all my own gaskets for the '49 Bentley.:crap:
I bought a roll of gasket material when I needed a new one for a MOON dry sump tank....I think it came from Mr Gasket...I still have most of it as I upgraded to a more efficient oil tank....The roll is out in the trailer, I`ll look for a part number if it ever warms up outside...
A lot of high rise condos require cork as a sound deadener.
Any wholesale tile or marble supplier has it in 4 or 5 ft wide x 50 foot rolls.
Comes anywhere from 3/32 up to 1/2 thick.
They would probably just cut you a couple feet off for next to nothing.
You might try a place that services and sells parts for semi trucks and their large diesel engines. Years ago, my Dad used to get large sheets of cork from one of those places that were self adhesive on one side. I think they were about 18" x 24" but its been awhile since I've seen one. It was good high quality cork.
