Another bizarre body work question/poll...

How do I mount my Monza cap?

  • Flat plate over the original door opening & mount cap to that?

  • Box in the opening with a flat floor and mount the cap to that?

It is a real pain to machine this but the plate could cover the rear "step" - The second bolt pattern is a little "too much" but I like the idea of that plate... can't you sandwich it between the body and the filler and only use the bolts in the filler flange ??

Once I placed them together I thought that the plate might look good without it's own screw holes - just blank and held down by the cap. Hehehe, I'm certainly not going to try and machine it so it covers the lip!
