On diffy's I always refer to anything with a rear access plate/cover that leaves the gears connected to the axle, as a Spicer set up.....even the shark, I would equate it's sort of a bastard 1/2 step but still a Spicer,
I have always thought a unit like the 9" Ford, and like that heavy 411 8 bolt dualie rear in the camper, as a Hotchkiss.....meaning the gearset comes out forward leaving the axle housing in place, and obviously the axles have to come outta the side gears to pull the unit.....
