Silicone brake fluid

This stuff seems to keep the calipers clean, I've had this caliper on the car for almost 5 years and just took it apart to install the O-ring kit... I was surprised to see it's as clean as a new caliper....

Here's a photo of a caliper with a lot of crud in it... I assume this is regular DOT3 brake fluid:

I had a '70 Lemans/GTO convertible, my tow car, with disc brakes and lots of other mods on it, and I had 5 in it for a long time, what prompted the switch is the boat towing, and needing the change out with the 12 bolt rear changout....kept it there for a long time, like 8 years, clean as a whistle...

in this vette i'ts been there 15 years, since I had the car with lip seals, then with O rings, never had a issue with the Dot 5 fluid....just a slight discoloration in the m/cyl is noted....not that it matters a whole lot....

what I really like is that ~2" of pedal travel I have with the HB on there instead of the thing on the floor every time to stop the car....
