I'd rather be in Bonaire
Good Lord it was HOT!!!!!! Several friends made the whole trip, I started in Bowling Green and made it to Mobile, AL and back to Birmingham. Thank you all for all the help on the 82, we made it!!!!! It was just soooooooooo hot, I started riding in Chattanooga with a rag holding the hood up about 2 inches to allow some airflow through the engine bay. Much more better. It is really nice to hang out with guys that actually work and build their own cars. We had 7 vettes, 2 63 Impalas, 2 Camaros. One fire on 1 of the 63's and I replaced a rear caliper and loosened up the parking brake on the 82 while passing back through Birmingham, other than that it was a good trip.

Getting ready to leave Bowling Green, wet.

The HOT ROD Editor caught us outside of BG and took a bunch of rolling shots of the Vettes, we may make the Magazine.

Wife smiling as we made it to Gulfshores, AL. She is a trooper, it was hotter than hell.

It must have been so much fun! I wish I could have been there, and met you all.

We had a blast! We did have some folks from Australia this year. 4200 participants, and must have been over 5000+ cars in Bowling Green. I am very serious, if you guys across the great pond want to come over, you are welcome to stay with us, we can get you setup, and between most of the friends we can certainly outfit you in a kewl car. Not sure how the drivers license thing works for ya'll. Not sure where it will start next year, but were told it would end in Detroit, MI. Motor City USA.
