Don't ask why I would even think of this but has anyone ever modded there seats to incorporate the heat pad and switches. In other words has anyone ever installed heated seats in a C3?

Eh, Canada, can't blame you for asking,

I would take a/c in the seats though....Florida....

The C6 seats that I have are heated and fully adjustable with lumbar and side supports.... unfortunately you have to lower the floor pan to make it fit with the seat tracks....
I was hoping to find somebody to buy my C6 tracks, they're sitting here collecting dust for a few months now.... maybe I just keep them and lower the pan... would be sweet to have all this luxury in the '79....

The C6 seat tracks are roughly the same as on the C5, I modified the tracks for V-Twins car and they are bolt in now and I still fit in the car. There never was that much headroom to begin with and having no t top liners (swapping for moon roofs) helps a lot.

Not what I was looking for, I don't want them noticable therfore the seats will have to be taken apart and installed properly. I got some pads from a 94 Cadi, and swtiches from a Grand Prix. I'm not sure if they work or if I have all the relays etc. I was hoping someone on this forum has tried this mod.

I want to keep the original seats.

I wonder about the stock foam, if it's affected to the melt point by that heater....:crutches:

I know what you're talking about DeeVeeEight, when I removed the previous leather the heater eliment was slightly damaged and I discarded it. It's the same colour as the seat cushions and is about 1/8" thick. I believe the other side still has it.

Anyone have any other info?

Yes that would work also, but I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic when you said "easy mod". I've redone seats before and it's not an easy task. For the heated seats mod you would have to remove the covers install the pads and reinstall tthe covers. For those that have done the seat cover job know, it's a certainly a task if you've got new cushions and covers as I have.
