In the late 1970's I would take the $99 flights from New York to California to attend George Cross's Pomona Swap Meets. There were no baggage fee's & my big suitcase on wheels was filled with my repro's parts. There I would pick up nice old Corvette parts and visit the Corvette Shops in the LA basin to pick up wholesale customers. Did that trip many times and stayed in San Bernadino (when it was a relatively safe city). On night after the swap meet I drove up to Mt. Baldy and had dinner at a small motel restaurant. The radio was playing the Eagles song Hotel California and I was looking out at the shimmering lights of LA that went on miles. Felt like was on top of the world; enjoying freedom and making money. Tonight, I began to play all the different version of Hotel California and it takes me right back to that time decades ago. I can never forget that trip.

One of the best versions
