    Garage Storage Ideas

I was shooting some photos and got the idea to start this thread. A couple buddies like my grinder storage made with coat hanger wire. Also, check out the grease gun and cartridge storage to the right. [/IMG] I have four ralley wheels to store and they were in the way. I stacked them using...

Tom Talks About Diff Carrier Tuning

Thanks for posting this video, very interesting. BTW...Tom's is mentioned in the latest edition of VETTE magazine Oct 2011, in a story titled BIG-BLOCK Party: part 3, prepping our 69 for the installation of a modern, EFI Big Block. Upgrading the C-3 differential is part of their program, in case...

15X8" rally wheel/what do they weight?

I have a set off a 70 vert that I recently cleaned. Without rings and caps and just the wheel and valve stems; I got an average weight of 24.375pounds, over the set of four. Hope this helps.

    Tranny Mate/Clutch Disk Install Problems.

When the engine is in the car, it is difficult to align the input shaft when the engine is on a downward angle. As you push the transmission forward while on a jack, the angle with the engine changes in relation to the input shaft. To counter this, cut the hex heads off four trans mount bolts...

    Improved Wire Wheel Brush?

The photo shows an improvement I have been using for quite a while on small wire wheel brushes. This one needed replacement recently and I thought to take a photo. They do make extensions that holds a 1/4 inch shank tool with two allen screws. I have one, but the large mounting area sometimes...

    Brake Bleeder My Way

Like many who frequent this message board, I need to do all work by myself. Sometimes it is a challenge, but the challenge can sometimes produce positive results. Bleeding brakes is probably at the top of the challenge list. Vacuum bleeder systems have always been disappointing, so I set out to...

Anybody Upgrade to Halo Projector Headlights?

I have seen projector headlights on race cars, but can't find units that appear to fit properly in my 79 headlight opening. Making a housing/bracket is expected, but can't seem to get started with a headlight that lends itself to mounting in the C-3 opening. Maybe someone seeing this has done...

Method of Jacking Front of Car

I have been using a pressure treated 33 inch 4 X 4 post to raise the front of my C-3 for many years. I hand picked the post with tight grain characteristics for strength, but saw this jack accessory and had to have it. It can be found under Summit PN# SUM-918008 @ $42.95, in case anyone is...

Anybody have success grinding calipers to fit 15 X 4.5 backspace wheels?

Thanks, but this wheel would not be my first choice, it was just a good deal I was trying to not pass up. After trying to find a way to make them work, I finally gave up. I did keep the pair of 15 X 4 X 1.75 BS for the front, though. The inside of the 8 inch wheel would almost rub the steering...

Anybody have success grinding calipers to fit 15 X 4.5 backspace wheels?

Did you need to grind mostly at the caliper ends? How much space did you need to allow for cornering wheel flex? It seems on my application, it is the ends on the top caliper side where the most interference is taking place.
