    Brake master cylinder question

Stock power brakes on 68 with mostly stock 327 While looking into the MC reservoirs there was a "squirt" out of the Compensating Port (holes with a large divit around them) in both reservoirs that broke the top of the fluid level while my assistant was pushing down on the brake pedal. Is this...

Has anyone heard from VetteMOD member mdbelanger lately? I have PMed him twice since Feb 18. No replies. The best I can tell he hasn't posted since Feb 18. In his last PM to me on Feb 17 he wrote "Will be getting to town wensday (Feb 18) will ship it then. Michael." I haven't received his...

"On a side note, a 3.73 may be scary

"On a side note, a 3.73 may be scary on the street with the 2004r. First gear is lower than your TH350 so the 3.73 will actually feel higher when you combine the two." I found the above statement while searching for info about swapping out my TH350 for a 200 4R transmission. My car has the...

    TH200C or a TH200 4R

In my research for info about swapping a TH350 for a TH200 4R I ran across this "There are two types of TH200 metric trannys. A TH200C (lockup converter) and a TH200 (non lockup)". I have found what I believe is a '83 200 4R but how can I be for sure it's the 4R? charlie

    To 200 4R or not.

Looking for advice on what I should do about changing out a TH350 for a 200 4R. I have a 68 NOM Vette with a TH350 and a 370 rear end. Motor is a 327 with around 300 HP. The car is driven for pleasure only. Not a daily driver or race car. I am in the middle of a body off project and have never...

    More power steering questions

I rebuilt the PS control valve today. Went very good. Question, what is the torque amount for the two bolts that bolt the 2 halves together? Rebuilt the PS assist cylinder yesterday. It too went good. The ball stud seal that came with the kit has a 7/16 inch hole in it to slip over the ball...

    Help understanding Gear Ratios

I am looking for some help with my education. Gear ratios is something I know very little about. In my 68 Corvette I am running a mostly stock 327 with a TH350 and 3.70 rear end. Automatic Transmission Gear Ratios for the TH350 are 1st gear 2.52, 2nd gear 1.52, and 3rd gear 1.00. What can you...

Update on my 68 project (Pic)

For those of you who are new or interested in an update on my project progress I think one word would describe it “slow”. I started Fall of 2007 with the help of my 14 year old grandson (now 15) and now I am in the rebuild and reassemble stage. I have not lost interest and I still enjoy the...
