    F.gregg Racing Site

Welcome to the motley crew of the Flying Dutchmen.... I too have had troubles some time ago with the F. Gregg racing site, was interested in a front spoiler for my car, but never got hold of anyone...so gave up and made one.... :clobbered:

    Opinions on NASCAR changes?

FI doesn't really matter because as mentioned the cars all run the same spec racer rules. NASCAR has lost the plot and I don't know why a car company would sponsor any of it. The only thing that resembles a street car is the sticker on the front with the brand name so you would know what it...

Front spoiler broke.... Almost $hit my pants today

...just crack like that. I agree that without the lower spoiler the car becomes light and twitchy in the front, after I removed my front spoiler on a speed bump (many moons ago when car was still running LOL) I did a high speed 120+ mph run some time after and the car was scary at high speeds.

Shrinkage of GF and plastic bumpers ?

...seems to appear after the parts have been sprayed in the heated booth. This is especially so for the original type front/rear bumper/ front spoiler parts. Is this common and if so, what does one do to overcome this. Imo, one cannot compensate this in advance. I was thinking of lightly...

Front spoiler broke.... Almost $hit my pants today

Have you thought about a threaded hole in the front of your support? That way you could remove the license plate and just thread in an eye if the car ever needs to be winched on a trailer of rollback. That would help prevent damage to you spoiler.

Front spoiler broke.... Almost $hit my pants today

I mounted the tiny factory 69 plastic spoiler to the nose of my racer and it made a huge difference down the back straight at Road America...

    My 1,500.00 1990 project

Measuring air flow changes through the radiator after adding splitter and air dam

...thread on a topic often overlooked. Some photos of your radiator and fan set-ups would speak volumes. My 79 L82 with the original front spoiler and fan shroud set-up always ran hot, 230* on the highway. The radiator was only five years old and with no build up of deposits inside. I went...

Front spoiler broke.... Almost $hit my pants today

Update: the new support is installed, fits pretty darn good and the front is rock-solid :D Fixed my compressor hose setup.... I was using a DeVilbiss "desiccant snake" to eliminate moisture from the lines. It appears that these clog up after a while. My gun was spitting and the pressure in the...

    Custom front splitter/air dam

Thanks! The bumper was never black, although it sure looks like it because of the lighting in some of the pics. Im hoping it will just reduce lift, and maybe add a little bit of downforce on the front. Since I dont have an effective way to evacuate all of the air under the nose, I think I may...

Pace Car front spoiler mod by Bee Jay

Splitter II My plywood splitter has been doing a great job of protecting my painted pace car spoiler, but at speeds above 100mph, the splitter tries to split from the spoiler. So I cut out another plywood spoiler but now with a 1 1/2" extension instead of the original 3/4". This allowed me to...

    Areo ?

I've got the fiberglass Pace Car replica spoiler on my '69. I like the looks of it, and the car's high speed stability is very good, A side benefit is that the sides of the spoiler seem to direct the air outward from in front of the wheels, creating a slight low pressure area around the wheels...
