    Rear spoilers

Not my field of expertise, but isn't it so that when the air below is less, that the air above gets to exert more downward force on the vehicle in question ?

    Aero improvement, or roadhugging weight?

It will be very interesting to test that. Do you have a place where there is a decently long straight where you get up to 150+? That may trap air underneath the front and make it want to take off. I took off the lower valance with spoiler opening up the underside of the front nose and...

Do you think this mold will duplicate a 82 rear bumper?

I would certainly be interested in a front bumper mold if you're going to pick that up. Personally, I think the dovetail on the factory rears is about the right height. Actually, if anything, I wish the back didn't slope down so much so that the spoiler could be the same height but without as...

Just found this on another board I haunt

I love the idea of tubes sticking out of the hood. If you actually drilled a hole in the hood and seal the connection, you should create some active airflow, kind of like an ant hill or gopher hole. Think of the possibilities! I also love the dive platform spoilers hanging off the front of a...

    Aero improvement, or roadhugging weight?

Greenwood's Spirit of 76 car had a nicely done front end and air dam. He used the rubber strips to get the spoiler as low as possible. I think my car would overheat in FL with that aluminum panel under the front end. But, if it works for you that is all that matters. I found the rubber/vinyl...

What 17 inch rims look the best on a 82 C3?

I still have the stock 1990 17x9.5 rims off my donor vette for test fitment. I have looked into track widths and came up with this. 1982 front 58.7 rear 59.4 1990 front 59.6 rear 60.4 If necessary I guess I could go with some off the wall offset to keep my tires inside the wheel...

    @##{$$$$é""('é !!!!!

Oh right, forgot that one : when tightening one of those bolts, the plastic flexed so much it got a tiny crack in the fresh paint job. :suicide: Anyway, I did a lot of fitting before painting, so it lined up quite well although I had to do some massaging (note that the pre-fitting was without...

    Hi Everyone

...Is my memory shot, or didn't Greenwood once attend a meet/show of the Corvette Club of America, NCCC#1 in Gaithersburg Maryland, show would have been at Chriswell Chevy.... I curious what you all have in the way of front spoilers. STREETABLE with stock height suspension, ....:yahoo:

...header wrap tape. Speaking about the spoiler again, in my view, that is more of a matter of personal taste ;) I have had 5 C3s over the years, none of them had aftermarket front spoiler and all of them were driven at speeds way above 45 mph. I just like the clean look of Corvette front

    Tow hook mount?

Took me a while to figure out where that is located. As far as the front, you might have to mount it so the hook goes through your front spoiler/splitter. Underneath might be too low

    Hi Everyone

Hey Chad....it's a '72, nothing stock, from wheels to roof, except ride height, on account of street driven....that's why the lack of good looking spoiler....:crutches:

    Rear spoilers

mine either (which is why I said "read in a book" numerous times).... but I suppose, technically speaking, the air squishes better under the car when there's less of it (I can just hear the true aero experts admiring my technical expertise and quick grasp of the complexities)

Looking for infos on rear spoiler design

Yes, but also remember that this, and the Charger Daytona spoiler, were actually functional, not just decorative. Hmmm, I've read that the entire effort with the high spoiler was nothing but a decoy to lure the Tech guys away from some subtle rear deck mods. The actual spoiler contributed...

Looking for infos on rear spoiler design

Hmmm, I've read that the entire effort with the high spoiler was nothing but a decoy to lure the Tech guys away from some subtle rear deck mods. The actual spoiler contributed nothing but eye candy while the rear deck lid was doing the work. I don't know but I like the story....;) My take...
