If a stock C3 master cylinder is a 1.125" bore. A stock C5 master is a 1" bore... Isn't that a step back?
I understand the booster provides assist only, and so upgrading the booster does nothing for pressure effectively.
And with the same pushrod actuation it seems that a C5 master would...
Brakes have always been stiff in my C3, but they feel really stiff right now... Like manual brake stiff. Not sure if they've always been like that.
No visible vacuum leaks. But then again, my motor makes about as much vacuum as a diesel. Haha.
So I did the pump up the brake pedal test, and...
I've seen a lot of people reference, mention, even list websites and part numbers for C5 brake caliper adapter brackets. But I can't find any.
Any one know where I can get them?

So, despite my custom motor mount to drop and solid mount my motor, my Procharger pulley has again eaten it's way through my hood.
Options? I dunno. The only thing I can think to do would be to install a Naca Duct right on top of the Procharger, greenwood turbo Vette style (see pic). This...
Trying to up the boost on a Turbo 4 cylinder. Mechanical waste gate, maxes out at 8psi. Its a pretty large turbo, I'm sure it can do better. So the question is, how?
Wastegate upgrade? Are there universal wastegates for T3/T4 turbos? :lost:
Yes, maybe probably, good eye. Fortunately I have a 10" drop hitch already.
I'm actually going to weld some plates on top of these brackets (in the open area, towards the front). To limit the travel, so it doesn't hit my bumper. It has a ton of travel before it gets close to the bumper, and...
...to cut a hole in it?
Before anyone tries to tell me that I should find the cause of the smoke coming into the cab, don't. New weather stripping, sealed up the cowl, siliconed every last inch of every gasket in the engine, and still I'm breathing in smoke. It is time to seal that f*cking vent.
I need to cut a hole in my hood, Procharger pulley is grinding its way through, even with the custom drop motor mount. I want to add one of those triangle turbo hood scoops but I dont think anyone sells them.
Im hoping someone could press a piece of paper onto it so I could get a sketch of it...
I just yanked a 4L out of a 96 Cherokee thats sitting in my driveway, and the steering box is sitting there staring at me. So Im wondering, is this the box that I heard someone (Norval?) used in their C3? Basically, should I yank it before I send it to the junk yard?
Also, what were the benfits?
So, there are a few companies like JET that sell resistors to replace the IAT so the engine thinks its cold and richens the air fuel mixture (with the intent to make more power).
So, heres my question, would it be possible to add a resistor inline with the IAT sensor to increase the resistance...
Had an interesting diagnostic day today. Ive had a P0299/ ETC light issue on my diesel Jeep that Ive narrowed down to the electronic turbo actuator. (I think) Anyways, I drove it around after trying one last thing before I send the actuator out for a rebuild... and I heard what sounds like a BOV...
TT, and other turbo gurus, the electronic actuator on my Jeep (3.0L Mercedes Diesel) is failing. And the actuator is sold as a unit with the turbo.
Would it be feasible to replace it with a mechanical one? Without making the high tech mercedes engine go nuts. I dont think it gives feedback to...
So I spliced into the 12V switched (gray wire) on the firewall connector for my wiper motor a few years ago to run my electrical fan relay. And after that my wipers would turn on randomly.
Now I took from that source again to run my intercooler electrical fan relay. And now the wipers switch on...
Theyre repaving my street tomorrow so I thought it was a good time to change the fluid again.
I couldnt find my hand pump and it was getting dark... so I said fuck it, and I duct taped a hose to the end of my mini shop vac. Sucked that puppy dry in under a min. Then I just washed the vacuum...
