I have not been active on forums lately do to work and moving.
Figured I would log in and see what is new.
Corvette Update: Sold the 85 and bought a 2003 Z06. 77 should be on the road in a couple months.
I bought a raffle ticket last winter for a complete 355 chevy motor (350HP) built by a local speed shop. They had the drawing today and I wont the thing.
I will post pictures Tuesday when I pick it up.
Went to Indy last weekend and was looking at cars for gas mileage and by the end of the day this was sitting in the driveway.
2008 Dodge (cough, cough) Caliber STR-4. Has 20K miles and 285HP and will get 30MPG.
Found this when searching on CL today and figured I would pass it along incase anybody was interested.

We started to work on the 77 today. First took a ton of photos of the car in is "as purchased" condition. Next we removed the factory hood and placed the new big block hood on the car to see how it fit and also to get it out of the way.
I have decided to start a thread for the rebuild of this...
Went to a local swap meet today and we found a after market big block hood for the 77 that was new and never installed on a car. They sell for 700+shipping new and we were able to buy it for $350. :bounce:
WTB 77 Interior & body parts
Pretty much looking for a dash pad, t-top plastic trim and any other trim pieces that might be nicer than what I have.
I am also looking for the Pace car rear spoiler and front chin spoiler.
Let me know what you have for sale!
After a long search we have added a 77 to the garage and will be this years project. Found it on CL about a hour from the house. It runs and drives great however stopping not so good. Body has a couple areas that need some attention but I would say it is a 7=8 out of 10. The interior is all...
The pictures that were snapped of my 85 by Corvette Enthusiast magazine in Effingham last year were in a 3 page article on the car in the magazine last month. Amazing how a good camera guy can make something look nicer than it is. lolol
I bought a new toy yesterday, a 1989 Baja 216 Islander. It has a 260HP 350 and is in really decent shape expect for carpet and little interior work. I got it for $2500 bucks because the guy decided to put his own version of thru hull exhaust on it and that will have to be corrected.
I have decided to go with a different set of wheels on the car so selling the ones on it.
The rears are the early offset (ZR1) 11 inch rears with 315/35/17 Sumoto tires with around 10K max miles on them.
The fronts are 9.5 wide early C4 offset with 274/40/17 sumoto tires again with around 10K...
Has anybody had any experoence with the 6.0L motor? I have been looking at a engine swap this winter and it looks like the 6L is a good cheap option and can get some good HP numbers with 1/2 the cost of a LS motor.
Just curious if anybody has played around with these or not.
I was looking through craigs list and seen these old Indy wheels were local. I figured I would post the link here incase somebody needs them for a vintage racer.

I found this dash in the sale parts at Funfest this year. I was told it was a prototype they were testing to replace the digital dash. I am not sure who would actually want one BUT I thought it was a cool conversation piece so I bought it. Here is a pic.
