What do you you guys think of Using these delrin tall deck spacers? Insulating heat from the intake would be a plus ... but i wounder about the durability of plastic spacer plates.

Just thought i would share some pictures of my vette with new paint......
I would like to give a very Special thanks to Chad, Keith and Byron for doing an outstanding job on the body work and paint on this car .... if far exceeded my expectations ... these guys are true craftsmen ....
I was at Canadian Tire a couple of weeks ago, and i saw a Simoniz 6" 12V cordless buffer on sale for 40 bucks ... common sense told me to stay away from it, but for the money i could not turn it down. Well the stupid 12V ni-cad batteries would last 5 min and take 7 hours to charge and about the...
Where on the frame are your tires rubbing ... I used to run 295/50r15 on my 79 vette, with the factory aluminum rims, and stock suspension ... no spacer plates ... i had to move the park brake mounts on the frame of the car one bolt over so the cables would not rub on the tires but i never had...
I agree twin turbo that car looks awsome ... that is the best looking way to flare a car ... but i bet it would take a ton of work.... way beyond my capacity.
The six link was bought from steve at dragvette ... he has a few different configurations ... the one i used was for a dual mount spring set up and larger axles with aftermarket trailing arms ... i am not using a dual mount spring but his kit for a dual mount spring looks a little more...

Mybad79 .. do it! do it! do it! ... I am just like you ... i like the stock wheels so much ... it took me 2 years to decide what i wanted to do .. then i found a place that would make me some wheels for a somewhat reasonable price ... go big rubber with your flared car ... we had mine sitting...
well negatives are no good .... and it will cost a 100 bucks if i try to send some down to you ... and i can not promiss that the wrecker ones will be good and if you have to send one back then that just costs more money. if you get a bad one from a wrecker here they just keep swaping them...
The rear offset is 6.5 and the rims are 12 wide, but i had to trim that 1/2 inch step off on the frame that goes from the front to the middle of the wheel well off. The axle flange is moved out about 1/8 an inch which is made possible by the six link ... the tires just contact the frame when...
thanks ... your opinion means nothing to me ... if you don't have nothing nice to say ... try saying nothing at all or go to anouther forum ... we all have different tasts ... but i don't bash someones stuff because it is not what i would do ... your convertable 82 is not my thing but i don't...
when you say Ted the lines ... do you mean the return lines to the pump? If you lost power steering after you put on the hydro boost ... i would suspect that the hydro boost is by-passing all the preasure in the power steering system out the return of the hydro booster ... this is a sign of...
