    Vibration from 30-40mph - 1997 Tahoe 4wd

Had the same issue with my '99 Tahoe. It was a front axle CV joint. Can't believe it went bad in only 364K miles.

    Bonneville History

Not sure. They had folks trying to build a fund to restore it. It was in the possession of Mr. George Calloway, known as the Mayor of El Mirage. He owns a big wrecking yard in the Mohave Desert just West of El Mirage. Hot Rod did an article on the yard, and there are 95 photos. Really cool...

    C8 ZR1 1064 Horsepower

Jim, That was a GM official release. It was at red line in 6th gear, so gearing limited. With the ZTK high down force package, they are estimating 207-212 - drag limited.

    Plastic Fantastic 2

One thing you may want to look at is bump steer in the rear suspension. With an IRS with toe links, raising or lowering the outboard end of the toe link changes the bump steer characteristics, just as changing caster on the front suspension does. Using the C7 as an example, rear caster set to...

Waiting on your trip report. Would also like to hear what caused Tony Phillips' issue.

    C8 ZR1 1064 Horsepower

I want no part of the Zora if it has the E-Rays front electric drive. It will weigh way too much with little benefit to a road racer. I would be happy with the ZR1 if I can get an allocation and if the dealer doesn't pile on a big ADM - purely a matter of principal!

    C8 ZR1 1064 Horsepower

Well, the new ZR1 has been revealed, and it is a beast. Over 1000 HP and over 800 ft/lbs of torque out of a short stroke, 5.5 liter, DOHC, FPC engine - impressive. With the DCT upgrades (shot peened gears and better solenoids) and a real downforce package, even at over 3800# it should be a...

Old Project Revitalized - 56 Track Car

Correct on the lines. The yaw sensor and wheel speed sensors are electrical connections, and the electrical input block on the control module can be seen on the far left in the photo. The connector is not plugged in in the photo, but it is pretty massive with leads to not only the yaw and...

Old Project Revitalized - 56 Track Car

Short update. I installed a Bosch M5 stand-alone ABS system. Highlights include pump mounted on isolators; short flex lines built by BMRS from the pump to bulkhead fittings to pick up the hard lines (flex lines to isolate vibration and prevent cracked lines); 1/4" SS lines to MCs and 3/16" SS...

    C3/4/5 frankenstein frame

Chris, A couple of questions about your soft lines to the ABS unit. I just bought the Bosch M5 stand-alone ABS system and am getting ready to plumb it. Bosch does not recommend "soft" lines, but talking to the guys at Brown and Miller (BMRS) they insist on soft lines due to unit vibration...

    Kindig 53 Corvette Ridler Award

The Kindig '53 Corvette won this year's Ridler award. A hand-fabricated, all aluminum body powered by a V-12 using LS technology and C7 drivetrain. He also has permanent molds for a carbon fiber '53 body that only weighs 70#. If I were starting a track car build today, that body would be my...
