I have an antigravity atx20 Restart battery that I bought for my rover v8 powered openwheeler nearly 6 years ago. It has since moved to my Harley, and then to my MG Midget. Love it, weighs nothing, heaps of grunt, and the restart function is worth the price of admission alone. Great batteries!

Definitely use some rubber mounts. I cut lengths of timing belt - very strong, and can make it whatever length suits the application.

Sounds like a good outcome. Catching up on the thread here, and you've already got it in the car so probably not all that relevant - but I was just going to say to keep in mind that shortening the spring stiffens it.
