    TKO600 OD question

I would really change the oil in th tko gearbox after 50 miles. I changed my oil after 2 (!) miles and I was chocked by the amount of particles that came out with the oil... Just not small particles but actually large metal chips from the milling of the aluminum housing ! I then changed oil 2...

    427Swedes new Project?

Hi again! The summer is over here in Sweden and the temperatures are dropping... It´s been a great summer, the weather has been fantastic and I have really enjoyed my Corvette:drink: Since the Vette is almost done (seats will be fixed this winter together with a cardan shaft balancing and a fix...

AN fittings - I never knew this

Yes that is correct, if I buy from Europe. Buying from the States adds the figures I posted however. Great that you was able to get hold of the stuff you needed!

AN fittings - I never knew this

When importing stuff to Sweden I first have to pay a custom fee of 3-7% on the total sum including freight, then on top of all that, I have to pay another 25%!!!!!!!! government tax...

    Checking C3 driveshaft/yoke angles?

I used the machined surface at the back as well. What about the machined area for the spring, is that parallel?

    Summer night cruising

Here's a short video from a summer nights cruising in my home town Hudiksvall, Sweden. Lot's of nice cars in this cruise, around 1500! It is a small town, only 15000 people live here. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-bp4RJ3dYLE

    A dream finally come true!

I have had my eyes open for a machine that have been tickling my mind ever since I first started working on mechanical stuff. So far I have been lucky enough to get hold of a lathe, a large drilling machine and a few machines for working on sheet metal but this specific piece of machinery has...

Running out of breath at 5500 rpm

The 427 is running nice and strong, up until 5500rpm where it starts to misfire. Or maybe not misfire, it is more like it is running out of breath. The Rochester carbuerator is functioning absolutely flawless below 5500rpm without any hesitation or tendencies to bog. It is totally renovated to...

Dusty engine bay with electric fans??

Ok, have put around 500 miles on my 69 now and I have noticed that I get alot of road dust all over the engine bay:shocking: Since I'm using twin Spals the original fan shroud is not used. This means that there is a big gap between the lower part of the radiator and front crossmember. This gap...

    unbelivable strange timing phenomena

Facts: Original TI distributor. Prev. owner added ignitor system. Do not know why. Dist in very good shape. I set base timing at 13º. At 2800-3000 i have around 36º. Vacuum shows additional 16º. Basically a sound setting for my engine, perhaps some more initial but it is ok for now. The...

    Slow return of brake pedal?

Update: checked the function with the mc moved away a bit. Same result. Checked the pedal free play in relation to booster and it was a clear play there. Took it out for a new test drive and to my surprise the phenomena got less and less with each break! When I got back home it was basically ok...

    Slow return of brake pedal?

Thank's!! I will loosen the mc a bit and make a new test. I hope I will not have to get a new booster... A nightmare to remove and the cost for a new unit will be around 460$ here in Sweden. I will get back with an update on the test. Again, thank's!

    Slow return of brake pedal?

Hmmm, now I get a bit uncertain... I used the pin delivered with the booster and I checked that it did not push on the mc piston before the pedal is depressed. Can you explain what the compensation hole is? The MC and the booster is correct for my car.

    Slow return of brake pedal?

I could not find such a spring on my pedal set up. There is a spring acting on the brake pedal but that is positioned right on the brake and clutch pedal bearing shaft. I tried to pull the pedal back up manually but the pedal pretty much ignored my efforts and continued in it´s own phase...
