Clinging to my guns and religion in KCMO.
Wanting to drill some air purge/lubrication holes (.030") in some aluminum pipe plugs behind the cam sprocket in my engine. Finding the drill bits was easy, but none of my crude/cheap drill presses will grip a bit this small. I hate to contract out something this simple (drilling a hole in three plugs), but I'm not making any engine assembly progress currently until I can get the pipe plugs installed. Any suggestions to help me resolve this stoppage is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Dremel? They make a "mini-drill press" and the Dremel goes almost to zero. Else there must be some kind of adapter out there. I'm looking at all those type of solutions as I realize I need to swap out some non-functioning, little used equipment. Good Luck.

Mcmaster! just under $13 - but Bezos sells for $9 something. Bet, Mcmaster's is better - judging by the pics.

Hmmm, makes me think, I'll hang on to that mini-press and set it up!;)

They are listed as 0-.040" Hope that helps.

Cheers - Jim
