intake gasket question!

Crossfire injection c4 84 corvette

The intake gasket has little metal squares covering the coolant jackets, and they ripped off my gasket while removing it. What are these? I think there were 2 or 3 of em. And will they come with the new gasket set once I purchase?

Coolant restrictors. Coolant crossover in the rear is reduced so that with the heater on coolant has t flow through the large passage under the manifold from front to back...heating the plenum.

So they will come with the new set of gaskets

Almost guaranteed they'll be in the gasket set. I'd be stunned if they weren't. Just buy a quality brand like Fel Pro or Victor Reinz and you'll be fine.
