I posted several article on other cars. Titled, "I Should have taken the job with General Motors." Relating to the first toe steer design by Klaus Arning, it's some good reading. In my quest to modify my suspension I find it satisfying that he used two ideas I had thought about. A watts link trailing arm and angling the camber rods. I pondered the idea that if you took Dick Guldstrands C3 design and raised the front camber rod you would change the arc position front to rear. This causes a toeing in under jounce and out at rebound.

I also have seen a pic of a 427 Cobra design that attacks the issue in a different way.

TT and Pier you may already may be aware of these designs, however I just thought I would post anyhow.

F^&%$&^% I was hoping no one would find something like this LOL. Now you know why I did my rear lower a arms the way I did... shiiiiiiiiii...... :) So much for keeping that a secret :)

I find it amazing Ford patented toe/steer and then sat on it. Producing not one single production car with it. My guess is that the C4 design came out after the life of the patent, 17 years. From what I have read TT the original best design made the toe rod much longer. Long enough that it came under the drivers seat. FAIL, so they had to come up with a different geometry and this is it. Something else I had read is that the Explorer has this design. However I have not been able to find anything on the net to confirm it.

Sure wish you or Pier could come up with some numbers as to how much of a degree change per inch of wheel travel works. I have a 90 inch wheel base so I'm sure I would be less than you guys.
