'A slight increase in pedal travel is required'.....that right there sez i'ts requiring more flow from the m/cyl and somehow that's being changed to more pressure....I dunno how...without some exterior energy source....like a booster or HBoost or more pedal pressure.....

looks like you would have to put one on the front and one on the back.
My 71 that I got yesterday has manual brakes, manual steering, and no A/C It is amazing how much room is in the engine bay!

Florida or not, I have looked askance at that a/c evap box plenty of times....
just cause it is identical to every other GM car of the ear don't mean I gotta love it in the vette....
I gotta scratch my butt to see if I have enough ass to actually change THAT also....
