I wonder if I can get one to work with a stock hood. I'll have a lower intake so I'll have about 1.5" more hood clearance

I'm going to bring down mine tomorrow and see how it fits. I want to have it draw air in the wind shield wiper gutter so I may need to extend it some with aluminum.

I have the same exact one that V-twin has.

Did it clear the distributor? My unilite isn't very tall

I also have this aluminum spacer that goes on top of the carb that changes the angle of the box, I'll try that also.

Edit: another option is to seal it to the factory induction but that doesn't seem like it would flow enough

It won't clear the unilite. You will have to buy a ford flat hat cap and rotor and depending on what housting/clip style you have you need new clips or fab your own. Then the housing needs to be machined for the cap to fit. Mallory can do it too. Or you could simply buy a new one that is already done.
