Crank failure!

A short update!

In my last posts I was worried about how to get the damper in place, here is what I did:
I bought a new chinese (cheap & crappy) damper, key and bolt, torqued the bolt to it's maximum and locked it with medium Loctite thread lock.
The damper is still in place after one month of driving and everything is working fine!

Good news.... enjoy the summer, then fix it during the winter

Yes, but summer will soon end and the more rainy fall will start at beginning of september or so.

I couldn't resist the annual corvette racing championship this weekend.
So I went to the strip on saturday and did three test race, 13.02 13.03 and 13.17.
Quite good for the next days bracket race, decided to have the index 12.90

On the sunday I did one test race early in the morning and got 12.71
What to do now? well I changed the index to 12.60

On the first race I did 12.74 and beated a C6 with compressor.
The next race was a singel race and suddenly I was in semi final.

Me and one of the other drivers was waiting to be called up for the semifinal.
We waited and waited and suddenly after 30-40 min of chaos, they called out the final!!!

WTF!
The had forgotten or lost us somewhere in that chaos!
Guess if we was angry and dissapointed?
This bracket race arrangement is the worst I ever have seen in my life.
I just can't understand how someone can create such a mess and screw up everything with just a few cars left.

BTW:
The crank key is still there ;)

Uplined for the first round:
