Famous Corvette racer John Fitch passed away

Just read an article about him in the latest issue of Road & Track. His efforts towards safety in racing were way ahead of anthing else at the time. Kenny Roberts was a similar advocate for safety in motorcycle racing. Both often unpopular with their stances on safety, but the results speak for themselves. Fitch invented the water barrel crash barriers you see out on the highways every day, pretty cool trivia tidbit from someone so closely tied to racing and our Corvettes.
