It used to be my radio used to automatically increase volume at different speeds. Seemed like the first adjust was around 40 then 60 then 80. Unless of course I just didn't hear the subtle changes through the speeds.
Anyways now I can have it on a nice residential setting that isnt obnoxious but as soon as I start moving it goes to almost full volume.
Some have said there is a microphone in the car that detects noise and the system uses this for volume control, still others say it is controlled by VSS input.
This is a NON-monsoon/bose it is just the base theftlock am-fm/cd radio.
Is the radio just taking a crap? My speedo works fine so I can't imagine it to be VSS related if that is how the system works.
