I'm actually new to the forums and don't know firsthand the problem with DB, could someone point me the thread that started this all?

I goes back a few years to the corvetteforum. There apparently was a lot of dirty dealing and VERY bad advice being dished out and the CF mods were buying it all, hook, line & sinker. The offending party was identified and called out on the issues which were quite numerous. Eventually the CF mods got their heads out of their asses and for a few brief moments and saw the light, after that the CF went back to the dark ages, business as usual.
This is why a certain party, giving out advice on how to deal honestly and fairly, is ridiculed and called out publicly.
Edit - You probably can not find these threads on the CF - the mods there are very heavy handed and do a LOT of censoring.

The title to that thread indicates that the OP's complaint was "resolved". WTF? Looks like Art got ripped by Infiltrator, got some "advice" from another con artist, then the thread was locked (and tagged "resolved") :bonkers:

The handle and avatar are different, for sure...now it's just DB...he used to spell it out Durango Boy.....Another member RED here, Mike, is a friend of mine from down the coast a ways, Cocoa Florida, we correspond regularly on most topics, like me he is retired and no millionaire.....
IF Mike spots this and wants to chime in with more highlights, he will.....
I say what happened best of my memory, but DB sold RED a set of aluminum cyl heads, 750 bux as I recall, so DB says he dropped one of the heads, and had no heads to send, but takes RED's money anyway, it was months full of bullshit/lies and final admission DB was in money trouble and could not afford to refund....but maybe a month or so later, he finally gave RED's money back....this all happened about 4? years ago....
not so long after this group was formed.....
DB was into EVERY post there with bad advice and shit that just irritated hell outta most of us older guys....
Funny part is, DB sold me a rubber TPI oval induction coupler into a 3.5" pipe....that's still on my car...for like 25 bux....with shipping...been a while....:crutches::bonkers:

It was never really resolved...after many months payment was finally received. The thread was locked because redvetracr, then yours truly called D_B out on his lack of ethics. Then Raidmagic locked it. Guess he (and obviously many other long time DC members) can't or don't want to remember the cylinder head fiasco between Red and D_boy.

He tried joined once everyone jumped the CF Celeste to DC but there was such an outcry that Patrick blocked his IP and username etc. Once Patrick was gone, the guru joined using a different username...

Dang C6Z51, you found some interesting info. I was one of the guys duped by Durango Boy when I paid him for his aluminum heads. The Frustrating part, beyond not receiving the heads I paid for, was that the mods on CF initially took DB's side. It wasn't until members here, and guys who knew me personally on CF, jumped in and started sending messages to the mods there that they started looking at the situation. I came close to driving to MO and paying a personal visit. Small claims court required me to be present, so a personal visit went without saying. Fortunately, that was not necessary. Behind the scene, the mods were working with me to have my money refunded. One of the mods is now deceased. DB was required to make the refund if he wanted to stay on CF. Fortunately for me, he chose to make the refund and the case was closed on CF, after I confirmed receipt of the refund. Shortly thereafter he was banned by the now deceased moderator.
I was very upset at the time, but continue to buy used parts from that forum and have never been ripped off again. I have purchased some junk parts, but the sellers always made me happy in the end and on their own.
My visits to DC is now limited to a few times a year, so I am not current on what goes on there. It is hard to believe that DB, the thief from CF, is handing out advice on how to deal with a deadbeat seller on DC. It is my opinion he needs a good azz whoopin to get his mind right. It might take several for this looser and still might not take. He fits the mold of a incorrigible sociopath, but what do I know? It would be helpful for future buyers to know who not to buy from, but that would not be politically correct in today's political climate. At least threads like this one will turn up if someone does a search for Matthew Rogers aka DB.
