Way back when, I read that GM came up with a solution to seal the inside of YJ8 aluminum wheels. Something was either sprayed or painted on wheels with faulty castings.

Anyone have any information on the product used and the technique to do it?

I've been putting up with a slow leak, for over 10 years, on one of the wheels on my '76.

Thanks,

I don't know what they used to fix it back in the 70's but I would expect that "fix-a-flat" will fix the leak. If it's a small/slow leak it will only take a small amount of this stuff.

Yes, used it on some '78-79 Firebird basket weave wheels....long time ago...

worked like a charm...

Thanks for all the input. Will the fix-a-flat screw up the inside of my tubeless tire?

I will try your suggestions and report back.

Thanks again,

Nah, hell no, it's a latex based compound....about the consistancy of a condom....when dried....
