Just sold my Vette and I'm in the market for a boosted C5.

Maybe you can hekp me make a good decision.

1. What is the HP/TRQ limit for a stock bottom end?

2. What is the HP/TRQ limit for a stock drive train (trans, clutch, rear end, half shafts, etc.) and what are the necessary mods when that is exceeded? Please comment on both 6 speed and automatic.

3. Are there any inherant problems with meth/alcohal injection?

4. If you were buying a boosted C5, what key factors would you be looking for?

5. Are there any shops in or near Michigan that would be a good go to if I encounter problems?
 
I see lots of people with boosted LS engines. You don't hear many about many failing but you never know, maybe if it happens, people just park the car.

I think drivetrain is the limiting factor but that depends on how you (ab)use it.
 
Best choice IMO is to buy a stock C5 and add the boost yourself... if you don't abuse it it will last a long time. The LS engines are almost indestructible if you don't do stupid stuff.....
