Not car racing, but this race was insane!.For the first time we got class one offshore racing here in sweden, five minutes drive from my home!.
Two really big crashes, in the second the black boat cut(with propellers)white boat up completely(20cm behind drivers head).The red boat was running 240km/h
when it flipped over.

Heard this morning that someone was killed this weekend in some boat racing.....

hated to see the olde tyme President's Cup Regatta get cancelled after a wreck.....

it used to be held on the Potomac River just south of DC, maybe 40? years ago....back when it was a 6-71 on a Hemi Mopar.....

That reminds me of the old Unlimited hydroplane races they had in the 60's. I am old enough and lucky enough to have seen the old Allison and RR V-12 boats and even the Chrysler Crew with 2 back to back supercharged hemi's.

Miss Budweiser showed up with the gas turbine and the thunderboats were done in a year.
