Good Morning everyone. I am about to replace the clutch in my LS5. I have never replaced one before, so what am I in for. I know my around the mechanical part and have access to a lift, I just want to know if there any tricks you can pass on to me.
Thanks, Dave

The toughest part is getting the trans out/in.. Pull the bolts, mount, shifter, speedo cable, the trans will come back and you'll need to roll it so it'll slip back over the crossmember, keep moving it back until the input shaft is clear of the bellhousing, then down and forward. My BB, I had to lower the back of the engine until the pilot would come past the lip on the bellhousing. Won't hurt to remove the distributor cap so it won't get whacked on the firewall/wiper motor.

Thanks Tim, I look forward to getting into this thing. I just need to find a good strong clutch kit, any recommendations?
