Rear gear with a 700R4

Whats the biggest gear I can run on the street with 700R4 and a 26 inch tall tire .
700R4 has a 3.06 first gear . worried it will be all done in like 70 ft. with a 3:73
The car is a C4

For a milder street machine like my shark/similar weight SBC/gearing....I think my 700 was over geared at a 336 rear ratio....it shifted outta first before even quickly crossing a highway from a light....I had to really get my foot in it to prevent upshifting.....

I've got a 700R-4 and 3.70 gears. I love it!!

My math says 373 will just work 390 or a 4:11 would be too much .
Plan on going to a tremic TKO600 in the near future or as soon as I smoke the 700R4:sweat:

Had a 3.90 in my son's 87 with a 383 motor. Came out of the hole like a funny car. :clap: Very close to dangerous in wet weather.
