I just watched the Steve McQueen movie, LeMans. For those who have not seen it, the movie was released in 1971 with shots (I'm speculating) from the LeMans race in 1970. The movie has some good vintage racing scenes but is not a great movie.
However, during the race, I spotted a C3 Corvette. This was a yellow #2. If you look up the race results for 1970, you see that the car was owned by Greder Racing. If you look at Greder racing historical pix, you don't see the yellow #2.
What's the deal? Did the car exist or not?
