I bought this car brand new in '97 in Wiesbaden Germany and built it in my old shop in Frankfurt. Five minutes after picking it up I was bouncing it off the rev limiter. Two weeks after that I pulled the motor and installed one I built myself. (I was building before I even bought the car) The new one, was all forged internals, Eagle rods, JE pistons running 10.5:1 . All the head and engine work was done myself. NX 75 wet shot and also using a stand alone EMS from mega squirt. If you have never heard of Mega Squirt you better check it out. To tune a fuel and ignition curve with a lap top is the ultimate on EFI. I drove the car daily in Europe on the autobahn at 120 mph+ on the way to work. Driving fast is very natural for me as I lived there 25 years. Top speed was about 136, drag limited. (no BS flag here) I have build docs and autobahn vids on my old car domain page.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/507124 I brought the car to the US in 2005 and sold it in 2009. It just sat in the garage. I might of drove it 5-6 times in that time frame. At my age (49 now) I just did not fit the scene here. In Germany it is different with this type of car, I did tons of car shows and took it to just about every country in central Europe. I miss it and the looks on some peoples faces as it laid smack down to some V-8's quite a few times from a light:twitch:

:smash: back about 22 years ago, I had this white '84? Dodge Colt parked in my back yard for almost a year, storage for a friend, so I bought the car and replaced the uncooled turbo on it, had a total of maybe 1500 in the thing, had the twin stick, it was the early body style Colt, so very light weight, 1600? engine and so being water cooled finally, I jacked the turbo power up a goodly amount, tweeked with the head a bit, and larger exhaust.....

that little rat was a flying machine, but talk about MINIMAL, that's it in my book, it was getting toward the end of me and smaller cars though as the arthritis had set in by about 7 years at that point....:hissyfit::smash::surrender:

sold it for same money to another friend who drove it for many years up in New England till that marriage ended....he now living with a old g/f of mine....
