Don't I friggin' wish, and got news, on the Miata forums, that is a very popular swap....more than a few jaded hotrodders....:clap:

but it's my WIFE's car only a rust free '91, I need do something with the paint, but the car is nice for ~19 y/old.....

and so she veto's any idea of a engine swap.....

There is an LS1 converted Miata running the drag strips in the Orlando, FL area. I eyeballed the car and spoke with the owner. It is a very cool looking and well performing machine. If I remember correctly, he was running 11's with the car. It went straight down B'Way without any drama or issues. Saturday before last he was at CFRC 1/8 mile strip in the competition. I don't think he finished in the money, though.
