A few month's ago I posted the three practice sessions at the Sept 2009 Vintage Races at Limerock, CT for the Group 9 cars that included C2 and C3 Corvettes. (When I first got involved with Corvettes we never called them C2 & C3.) These are the first 2 of the 3 races.

Video 1 First race 15 laps ended under caution. No one got hurt.
This is coming out of the esses into the back straight and up the hill.

Video 2 Second race had hot runs for all 15 laps. This is the curve by the new chicane (not used in these vintage races, but the ALMS cars use it) and then under the Limerock infield bridge.

Turn up the VOLUME.

Doc,
Next time you see Gallagher ask him about Heartland Park Topeka in`96 and the seat belt that wrapped it`s way around the driveshaft...nice videos!!

I will ask him. I've only seen him racing a couple of times, but he definately is a serious racer and appears to my novice view, as a good one.

As I remember he is (or was) a Chevy dealer in CT...I raced against him when his car was maintained in Iowa...he raced where they raced which was mostly in the midwest, obviously someone closer to home maintains it now...maybe Donovan who maintains those two lightweight Jags and an AC Cobra for investment guy Mike Stott...

Yes it is Donovan Motorsports that brings him and the others to the track. They bring a nice race set up and service some other neat race cars there also. While waiting during staging an employee from Donovan kept a big umbrella shading Gallagher while in the hot sun.

There are also 1000's of jpegs from this Race and other Corvette events in what I loosely called a Blog. Plus there are 40 other Corvette video's I've uploaded on my website under the Movie link. And the Archive has copies of old original Corvette photos, promotional material, brochures, blueprints, manuals, documents when they were new models in the 50s, 60's, 70's etc. I would like to share all the Corvettes stuff I have, but honestly don't have the capability to upload it all. I'm talking several bookcases filled with printed matter, no parts at all.

My daughters used to do that job for me...sitting in the sun inside the drivers suit & helmet can get pretty hot...

last car down..red #45
this was the deal of the day a year back in race-cars.com...$17K ready to race, exactly where you would race it and be competitive is above my pay grade but I knew the guy (Jim Kidd from Milwaukee) who originally built it out of (I think) a mid year roadster...notice the space between the windshield post and the roll cage...in the beginning he had the windshield tipped waaay back and the roof tipped down...
