a little carb help for a 84

So I am seriously considering carbing my 84 but have a couple questions I know I need a carb and manifold and distributer but with my new gauges will carbing the motor affect them since they are plugged into the factory harness and what is it that I need for the transmission thanks for the help

Your mpg, range and other fuel consumption readouts won't work, the rest will continue to operate fine

for the tranny you need nothing but a throttle bracket that has a provision for the transmission TV cable

Thanks I will look for one as for the gauges I have put in all analog so no worries there

So I will need an intake, carb, distributor and throttle bracket, and a drop base air cleaner for this swap anything else I need to get it done??? I know cam and all that but thats later one thing at a time

Isn't the distributor the same?

No I will need a vacuum advance distributer intead of the electronic advance
