Group 9 cars includes C2 C3 Corvettes, Rustangs, Porches, Kobras, Jag-u-ares and others. This group had 3 track practice sessions and 3 track races. And there were Groups 1 through 8 events also.

This 3 minute video is from the very first practice session. By the last race not everyone was running. It's a noisy, hot, dirty, smelly job ... but somebody's gotta do it.

PS I have 190 videos from this Labor Day Weekend Festival.

Ok Doc, the time has come...put down the camera, pick up the helmet and put on the drivers suit. I heard a rumor your not getting younger.

I'm considering getting my wife drivers school and a car. Al Debonis had the fresh 68 White big block for sale that at 50K, but that race 454 may be a bit much for her to start with. I was hoping for a smaller .... footprint.

PS Nobanomics has slowed everything except govt spending and waste.

That was a cool video and great sounds.

My group, VARA in SoCal, has a "Big Bore Bash" as the season closer in November at Willow Springs Raceway near Rosamond. If you live in SoCal and like that sound it's worth the day trip to hangout!

the Second Practice Session

Check out Tim Gallagher in the White 67 convertible #57. He has a hot shoe.

you and your wife might have more fun racing a straight axle, somewhat less competitive but a whole lot less money....I was racing at Heartland Park Topeka in 1996 with the RMVR group, Gallagher was there with Collector Motorsports, his seat belt somehow got wrapped around his driveshaft, if he hadn`t pulled off his harness might have crushed him........

3rs practice session

turn up the volume. At the end of the back straight they must slow down for the right hand turn at the base of the uphill.

Red - C1 racers are more of a historic artifact than an C2-C3. C1's are like Morgan 3 wheelers: cute, but not as thrilling as an IRS Corvette. I really have to get rid of some cars before I add more. I don't have a hanger with a load of mechanics like Jay Leno.

Come on Geoffrey, you know he's right. Dump one of those trailer queens, and get suited up.
