When I back my 'Vette out of the driveway for the first time each day I get a thunk from the rear. It feels like the rear is moving up/down a fraction of an inch. It was not so noticeable a few months ago. Any suggestions? The rear was rebuilt last year and is not giving me any trouble, I am guessing a bushing is rotted out?

The typical answer surrounds that shoe from the diffy nose and the two lateral bolts and of course that rubber damper and loose bolt to the cross support over it....if that rubber is bad, it clunks....

I too have a clunk....looked quickly, didn't find anything....

hope you have better luck.....

:fishing: lemme know what you find....I need another suggestion..I think...

Yeah, make sure the two bolts that hold the pinion bracket are tight. They'll cause a noise like that.
